Mr Barval – Mistral

RM299

Margaret River, Australia

This wine is inspired by the white wine blends of the Rhone Valley. Originating in Switzerland, the Rhone river flows west towards Lyon before turning south down the Rhone Valley to the Mediterranean coast. The strong, cool wind known as the Mistral blows down the Rhone Valley from the Alps and has a prodounf impact upon all of the agriculture in the valley, viticulture being no exception.

The fruit for this wine was hand picked and whole bunch pressed directly to used French oak barriques for wild fermentation with no additions, adjustment or fining. The wine was aged on lees for 9 months.

A seamless, bone dry and aromatic blend of Viogner (69%) and Marsanne (31%), with both delicacy and complexity.

This wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered and a harmless sediment may remain.

Only 2011 bottles produced.
