Los Alamos Vineyard Pinot Noir is made the best grapes from that vineyard. We have spent over a decade “checking out” the best sections. During those years we have taken grapes from all corners of this 400-acre vineyard. We have determined that Block 9 is the best block and clones 2A and 828 are the best clones within Block 9.
Aromas of ripe berries, plum, bitter chocolate, and sage all leap out of the glass. The silky tannins and the rich mouthfeel show the quality of this wine. This wine is pure Pinot pleasure and will improve for another 5 to 7 years. I would serve this wine with the traditional Pinot food matches of duck, grouse, or other games birds, or even a hearty rack of lamb.
